When I say that I love dogs, I mean that I love everything about dogs.
All dogs.
I enjoy observing dogs.
I enjoy listening to people talk about dogs and sharing information and stories about dogs.
I love thinking about dogs.
I love talking about dogs.
I spend a lot of time doing this.
Possibly too much time.
According to my husband, DEFINITELY too much time. He’s good with it though.
Two and a half years ago, a dog named Boo Rowdy padded into our lives. Nothing has been the same since.
She is a catalyst of epic proportions.
Boo is our third dog and our second Border Collie. We deeply love all of our “Girls.”
Boo is different.
She is my coming-of-age dog.
A dog that simply loves being a dog.
Because of Boo, the dreams of a little girl long set aside have been dusted off to become realities. Most often not by my choice, nor the way I thought they would come to fruition.
“Raising Boo” and engaging in “Boo-Think” is the best thing I have ever done.
I love every minute of it.
It’s because of Boo that I am able to crack my shell and share my experiences and thoughts about dogs here – and – because of her Auntie S who set this up for me!
Topics will range wildly as micro-managing words sucks the joy out of writing. At least for me.
There’s nothing professional about me in either the dog or literary world. I’m not a vet, trainer, handler or a writer. I’m not writing to make a point, to forward an agenda, to argue, or to sound brilliant.
I love dogs and I love to write.
Every Day Dog will deal mostly with our present journey – Boo-Think, Boo Life, and Raising Boo.
Dogs In Between will discuss dogs that have impacted my life, or, dogs that have crossed my path.
The Walk-Up is about my dogs BB (Before Boo).
Loss is exactly that.
I hope you enjoy my words, maybe find validation, association, a new point of view, hope, good information, laughter or commiseration and that your heart fills with emotions and your head fills with words and thoughts of your own about dogs.
There is, after all, something about dogs.
